Hershey’s Chocolate World

Yesterday morning we left Philidelphia and started our journey back to Kansas. We are planning on spending the night in Zanesville, Ohio. Midway through the morning we stopped at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Hershey, PA. The chocolate tour was pretty fun, especially the singing cows. The tour started with the history of the Hershey company. Next we all hopped into a slow-moving roller coaster car and started traveling through the chocolate factory.

First came the singing cows…. they were singing a catchy little song about ‘Hershey’s milk chocolate da dum dum’. We rode on the tour two times, so the second time we had already memorized the song so the whole family sang along really loud, much to the amusement of the family directly ahead of us! Then we passed by the cocoa crusher and the milk and sugar mixer and ( my personal favorite) the liquid chocolate mixer! It reminded me of the chocolate river from ‘Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory’. It was a big vat filled with creamy chocolate… all swirly and chocolately… it was big enough to swim in!! Yum, yum. I really liked the chocolate tour.
