Ok, NOW we’re going to New York

By the time we arrived in Newark yesterday and unloaded the car, it was raining. We were planning to take a bus tour of NYC — an open-topped, double-decker bus tour. The rain would have made that not quite as pleasant, so we opted to stay at the hotel for the remainder of the day. The best plans are those which are open to change.

It’s a nice place — Brenda blogged about it — a former Doubletree. The pool is pretty big, and I was all set to swim some laps last night, until she told me that a child threw up in it. The best plans…

So today we’re off to the bus tour. Gusty winds are in the forecast, but no rain. Should be fun. And if the pool is cleaned out tonight, maybe we’ll go swimming.

I’ve plugged in the VCR and set it to record the afternoon’s games. Don’t text me about the Hawks! I’ll watch it tonight.

  1. The Hawks lost! Just kidding of course (and wishful thinking). Also, I’m ashamed to say that I picked them to go all the way.

  2. Tagging along on the previous post about basketball. As the KC Star headlines read today…”Hold the Mayo”. The Big 12 held its own yesterday.
